Riverfront Residence | Aspen, Colorado
Site Planning & Landscape Architecture
Uncommon respect for:
- Ecology — We designed this site with native wetland species, xeric plantings, and river bank stabilization species
- Viewshed — We improved and preserved scenic views through the implementation and preservation of native tree groves
Due to the Roaring Fork River running through the south side of the property, Consilium Design took great care to reinvigorate the riparian corridor with bank stabilization and planting of native wetland species.
As our team realigned the main drive to alleviate space for the redesigned pond, rolling topography, and spectacular views to the surrounding mountain ranges, we also set in high-impact, xeric planting that is designated at key climate areas to emphasize the prominent mountainous features of the site.
This Pitkin County property is a 72-acre private residence outside a small mountain community.
